Hello!  Welcome to my little corner of the world!

My name is Ruth and I am the whimsical writer behind this blog.  Whimsical Truth blog was dreamed up when I had a little too much free time and far too many ideas.

I started this blog as a hobby - to chronicle my everyday life, things, events and people that inspire me.  I enjoy being creative and I find that blogging is the perfect fun little creative outlet.

Here are some things that might help you get to know me a little better:

I love curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee.

I love making things and being creative.

I have been with my fiancé Alan, for two years now, and we've just got engaged! 

I have a love for shoes (which means that sometimes, I even have to suffer through painful blisters to wear pretty ones!)

I have a cute little monster of a dog named Duke, whom I treat like a human baby.

I have an affection for floral tea dress, anything old and vintage, fresh flowers and baking.

Other things I love include: travelling and planning travel holidays, Pinterest, the TV shows Sex and the City, Friends and Desperate Housewives, getting snail mail, movie theatres and popcorn, painting, listening to thunderstorms, photography and taking pictures, Winter and Autumn, wine and spicy food.

I basically despise open mouthed chewers, people who swear too much, bills and poor grammar.
